although I know this is kinda not helping you align the point to an
existing line. and it is kinda
the same exact thing as the SurvCad command.
as for rotating the entire point block as one entity, can you get the
rotation angle of the line and
enter that ?

| try this lisp routine that I converted from one that I had... it will
globally or individually
| rotate the points at their insertion point a selected angle.
|
| just use appload to load this. I would recommend downloading this to
either your acad support
folder
| or your scad sup folder.
|
| you can then use the start up suite (with in appload) to automatically
load this file everytime
you
| start acad.

| | When twisting point attributes, the routine will use the "point"
itself as
| | the rotation or twist point when using the "entity segment" option.
This
| | works well. However, when using the "follow polyline" option, the
attributes
| | use each individual attributes origin as the rotation or twist
point. This
| | nullifies the usefulness of the routine. Many times point numbers
are
| | rotated over the point itself and can no longer be read. Entity
segment
| | obviously does not work for the entire centerline of a road, which
is what I
| | need. "Follow" needs to be fixed to work like the other options
"twist
| | screen" and "entity segment" to use the POINT as the rotation point
and not
| | each attribute origin. Since my job includes stake out sheets for
surveyors,
| | this feature is EXTREMELY important to me.
| |
| | I feel that the discussion groups are a great outlet and I praise
SurvCADD
| | for creating them. I feel that is more important to share program
problems
| | with others than to submit them to tech support only. My emails are
meant
| | for information sharing only and are not criticisms.
| |
| | Keep up the good work Carlson!
