Section conversion

Postby Daniel Capps » Thu Nov 29, 2001 7:49 pm

I need to convert section data from an ASCII file to a .SCT file and I
think I can probably do it, after a little data manipulation, with the
"Columnar Text to .SCT File" command under the SECTION CONVERSION pull down
menu, but I can find no documentation anywhere that tells me what the "text
data" format needs to look like.

Am I overlooking something or what?

A little help please.

Thanks,

You are not looking over anything, it just didn't make the manual. The expected format is Station, offset, elevation. Here is an example.

0+00,-10,125.18
0+00,0,125.18
0+00,10,126.45
0+00,20,124.18
1+00,-20,123.12
1+00,-10,124.18
1+00,0,124.99
1+00,10,124.22
1+00,20,123.49
1+00,30,122.50

Let us know if you have any more questions.
