Field to finish is not the problem. This can be before or after FTF has
been run. Crown is just an example.
The problem is every point in the coordinate file will occassionally change
its description to one description. So every EP, TOP, TOE, CROWN, etc. will
just suddenly rename itself to EP. Most of the time it can be corrected by
updating the coordinate file with the points in the drawing, but when you
have a 20,000 point drawing, it takes a couple of hours. After spending a
long time waiting for it to do other commands with a coordinate file of that
size it just gets extremely frustating.

Check your field to finish codes the will let you chang field codes while
it processes so if you don't want to see CROWN on every crown shot you
could change it to CN or anything else you wish.
In FTF code definition if the use code box is not checked whatever you
have
in the description box beside it will be what you see on the screen

Continuing with my topics below, another problem I've noticed with the
points is an occassional glitch wherein all of the points just suddenly
change their description to the same thing.
An example would be a coordinate file with the standard type of
descriptions
(EP, TOP, TOE, CROWN, etc.) suddenly changing the description of ALL of
the
points to TOE. I have tried to pay attention to a sequence of commands
to
post them here, but haven't quite noticed one. It has happened
occassionally when reducing raw files. It also does not seem to matter
if
"Point Protection" is checked. To fix this, I just update coordinate
file
from the drawing. One of the guys always erases the points from the
drawing
which creates a problem, mostly for me.
Is this a known bug and if so is there a fix?
