Hello all,

I am rather new to Autocad. How exactly do I import a second dwg/dxf file
into my current job? I appreciate your help!

what version of acad are you using? if 2k+ you can open a dxf file just like
a dwg just change file of type to dxf. then save the file to a dwg. then you
can insert that file into your other dwg file.
if its already a dwg file just use the insert command to bring it into you
drawing probably with 0,0,0 as an insertion point

The INSERT command will allow you to insert .DWG or .DXF files. So there is no need to open the .DXF and then save it as a .DWG first.
