Sections

I am new to the Section module. It appears that in order to use "Sections
from Points", the points must have been imported into the drawing with the
"Locate on real Z-Axis" turned on? Is this true and if so. Other than
reimporting all my points, is there any other way to create cross sections
from points that are not located on their z access?
