2D Polyline & FTF

Survcadd XML/AutoCAD 2000

For a fence line, I have a 2d polyline specified for linework and 3d points
on real Z in my Field to Finish file. In this way I can have a "fence"
linetype that works (linetypes don't work on 3d lines) because the linework
has an elevation of 0.00, and yet I could use the 3d fence points for
developing contours. In previous versions of Survcadd, this worked
perfectly. Now, the fence 2d polyline (from the same FTF file) is drawn in
3d, regardless of my setting of 2d polyline in FTF. has anyone else
experienced this? If so, what should I do to make everything work the way it
did for the previous 3 years? I now have to select all the polylines on
fence layer and use the 3dto2d routine. I can continue to do this but why
did this change? I now have to use more steps to accomplish the same thing.
I have other layers that do the same thing so I can see the linetype
correctly.

Jack,

The program works fine for me, if I check Entity Type
for 2D Polyline then I get 2D Polyline with Linetype "fence".
You can send me the FLD and CRD file to try.

Randall,

Is the fact that I have created my own symbol blocks (SPT1-SPT51) causing a
problem with this? I was very careful to create very plain symbols with
absolutely no customizing at all. All my blocks are plain acad entities on
layer 0, txt font, bylayer color, continuous linetype, standard dimstyle. I
have purge everything from them. What do you think?
