RK,
Further to this....
if I had a note for point 1, renumbered it to 100, then created a new point
1, the original note applies to the new point 1.
Effectively, the .not file is NOT updated in a renumber or delete.
If have found the same if I have a note in an RW5. Each time I process the
RW5 it keeps adding to the .not file.
It took a while to work out why I had four notes the same for points from an
RW5. I processed it four times!.
Thanks...Stephen

When I re-number a series of points that have "notes", the re-numbered
points do not have the notes - they disappear!
Is this a bug or intentional?
Bug.
Confirmed this also in Carlson Survey 2004.
