Hello all again, hope you guys had a good weekend. I have question
about
Sequences. So I set up code RD as a sequence for SD1 EP1 CL EP2 SHD2
(like
in Help File), so do I go in the crd file and insert that RD code
everytime
that sequence appears?? do I erase the actual SD1 EP1 CL EP2 SHD2 in the
crd
file?? How do I do it?

I use Field to Finish all the time. The thing is, it's been set up
for
a
long time, so I don't recall the details of setting it up. I guess
that's
the beauty of F2F... once you've done the setup chore...you done't
have
to
worry about it again.
For connecting points with the same code: what is the code you are
creating
linework for? If I am running a treeline, "nearest found" works
pretty
good...or "sequential". If it is work produced from cross sections
(tb,cld,tb or ep,cl,ep) "nearest" or "sequential" will be garbage. In
the
cross section case, a Sequence code needs to be created (check box at
top
of
Edit Code dialog) ...look into the F2F help on sequences...there's a
couple
of options for that one too depending how your crew works.
To get the most out of F2F, one may have to make some alterations in
one's
field codes. For an existing file with 20000 points, it may be
helpful
to
use the Search and Replace in the Point Editor.

i wouldn't want to go in crd file and alter the code though, not
good
practice if I have 20000 points or so. i guess I have to call
Carlson
like
McSwain suggest. But I can't believe I'm the only one having this
problem,
guess not many people using Field and Finish huh?

Use SZ:
7 130026.00 160028.00 39.51 TREE SZ2
8 130051.00 160052.00 39.58 TREE SZ3

Um ... I look through the tutorial, but there's no tips on
coding
Field
and
Finish though, even the survcadd.fld listing all the sizes of
tree
as
codes
(example 10D as 10" Tree all thru 50D as 50" Tree). I know my
code
can
be
described in DescKey of LDD is $1" $2 TREE, is there anyway to
do
that
in
SurvCADD??? or should I just give up and manually enter all
possible
sizes
of tree in there? Problem is our code is TRO space 30, so
SurvCADD
only
read TRO as code, my point gonna comes in as Orchard Tree 30 as
description.

You should find quite a bit of satisfaction as well as a good
understanding
of the software by starting with the tutorials and working
your
way through them.
You're welcome to contact me directly.

Hello,
Is there any good advice on how to setting the Field and
Finish
in
SurvCADD?
I spent the whole day trying to figure how to turn TRC #
into
'
#"
Crype
Myrtle Tree ' and make the symbol scale accordingly. I'm
exhausted.
And
the lineworks, our company use the "connecting points w/ the
same
code"
method in the Help File, I checked Nearest Found option, but
it
came
out
just bad, too many lines overlap each other. Please
help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOS!!!!!!!!!!!!
