Assuming I turned this feature on which is ofcourse totally possible, I
cannot understand the following:
1. If I uninstall Toolpac9, then reinstall toolpac9 (original copy I
received when it was first released) there is no problem.
2. If following step1 I run the TP9 update then there is a problem.
Please note that I did not put any tag names in TP9 setup. They have always
been blank. Does a blank tag name automatically become a wildcard that will
update all block attributes when they are inserted? It would appear so
since the Bar Scale also had the wrong attribute data.
Please don't take this is any criticism of the TP9 software. I am extremely
happy with TP9 and really appreciate all the help you provide. I am just
trying to understand how this happened.
Thanks.

The shipping default is off, and none of the updates turn it on. No one
else has reported this behavior. When the system is turned on and used
properly it can have very desireable results.
