Carlson Software Forum

I brought in a set of points and SurvCAD assigned the easting coord to the
point no, elev, northing and easting. Everything was fine a few days ago.
Any ideas.

You "brought in" a set of points, can you be more specific? Did you import
an ASCII file, or did you map them in from another Carlson .CRD? Did you
do a conversion from another format?

I'm assuming you imported an ASCII file. First open the file in Wordpad,
note the format (comma delimited, space delimited, field order, ect, ect)
then check your format upon import. Works every time for me, must have
something messed up. Jeremy

import (correctly) or . If I do a list points, the points are reported
correctly (correct info for N E Z).

attributes"

Apparently Geoffrey had turned on ToolPac's LiveAttributes and put the
point block tags in. LiveAttributes works reactively and directly
changes the attributes (to coordinates) of the block as it is moved.

Problem should be solved.

OK, I knew something odd was happening. I did not know he was using an
add-on program.

The shipping default is off, and none of the updates turn it on. No one
else has reported this behavior. When the system is turned on and used
properly it can have very desireable results.
