Variable Text Size

Postby Jack Booda » Fri Sep 16, 2005 6:39 pm

Is it possible to set up your drawing template (or SurvCad configuration)
to print out text at a specific size irregardless of the drawing's
horizontal scale?

Reason: Say I want my textsize to always be 0.1 inch on the printed paper.
Our surveys vary tremendously in size, may be 2 acres, may be 2000 acres.
We never know what the final scale will be on our printed maps, may be
1":50' or it may be 1":1000', depending on what area the client needs to
see. So, can I change the mapscale on the fly and still get text 0.1 inch
on the resultant map?

Define the textsize:
Drawing Setup>Text Plot Size
If you need to change the scale:
Misc>Rescale Drawing
