Slow Inverse Command

Postby Jason » Wed Oct 05, 2005 5:37 pm

I just upgraded to AutoCAD 2006 with SurvCadd 2006 from 2002/XML. The
inverse command now seems to have a significant lag. The system pauses for
about 2 seconds after each click. It only seems to happen when picking
points off the screen. If I enter point numbers its fine. Has anyone else
experienced this problem? I'm running a P4/3.4, 1G ram, 128MB ATI video
card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jason

Hey Jason;

Did your upgrade to 2K6 include the recent service pack? If you acquired 2K6
awhile back, then you probably want to see where you can get the SP I would
imagine:

That "might" help the issue you reported also.

Hey Don,

Thanks for the response. I have installed all the SPs'. I've been doing
some experimenting and it seems that it has something to do with crd file
being on a network share. If I move the crd to my local drive the problem
disapears. A network problem I guess. Its strange to me that this problem
did not exist in previous releases. What has changed?

Any further suggestions would be great

Thanks

Jason

Well, how about the addition of the CUI, for one? :-)

Anything else would be dependent on the SurvCADD would be my guess, so we'll
just have to wait for an expert now.

I just wanted to make sure you had all of the necessary pieces of the SP
involved. And according to your own self, you do.

Hang in there - waiting is no fun. :-(
