'setcelev' Arcs removed from polylines

Since we have install SURVCADD 2006 there has been a problem with
polylines containing arc. We draw polylines with arcs and line segments
but if we assign an elevation using the “setcelev” command from the
DTM/Contour module all of the arcs are removed and replaced with small
line segments. This command is the most common that I use but there are
others that do the same thing. In prior releases of SurvCADD this did not
happen. Is there anything that can be done to maintain the arcs in the
polylines when using this command?

The only way for us to achieve this that I have found is to use ‘3D to 2D’
assigning an elevation but I have to pick the polylines one at a time or
the group of polylines that have the same elevation.

Is there anything that can be done to get “setcelev” to work as it did
prior to SurvCADD 2006?

Thanks,

This is not a problem with SurvCADD, but a limitation in Autocad itself.

For some reason Autodesk feels like they need to breakup 3D arcs into
short straight line segments. Just something they have never gotten
around to fixing.

And with them spending all their resources to get the software to create
custom objects (which ten years from now all those LDD drawings will be
almost useless because of objects) instead of drawing native entities
I don't think they'll ever get around to fixing this.
