draw spot elevations

I'm using survcadd 2006 with acad 2002
Every time I try to use the command my pointing device buttons (mouse)
change its settings. To be more specific, I found out that my system
variables get modified.
1. "mbuttonpan"-changes from 1 to 0 (it controls the behavior of the third
button or wheel on the pointing device
2. "shortcutmenu"-changes from 1 to 0 (controls whether default, edit, and
command mode shortcut menus are available in the drawing area)
Is there any way to keep those variables the same, after I invoke the
"draw spot elevations" command ??
I have also listed few additional comments about how I think this command
could be improved.
Here they are:
1.it would be nice to be able to modify the box size around the text.
I think there is too much gap from either side of the box to beginning or
end of text.
2.I think that space from the leader to the text (if box around the text
is not used) should be smaller, or at least option to control the offset.
3.An option to be able to change the z axis coordinate of the spot
elevation nodes as well as the text associated with it. (Now I think you
can do that only with survcadd points.) For example If I have 300 spot
grades around the site (created by "draw spot elevations") and I want to
raise all of them by .5 feet, I can use change elevation to change my
nodes but they won't change my text. I would not like to modify each
individual spot grade text. Therefore I think this command without these
and maybe any other extra features is not quite complete and not very
useful.
thank you
Pete
