copy basepoint

Postby JB » Fri May 26, 2006 6:26 pm

I'm experiencing a problem with copy basepoint. I've check all the usuall
suspects including UCS and BASE for both drawings. The problem I'm having is
it will paste lines and arcs correctly, but it is changing the insertion
point of a block, therefore, making it be placed incorrectly in the pasted
drawing. It appears as if it is redefining the insertion point as the lower
left extents of the block objects. The block I have is a house footprint.
The insertion point is located at the street line. When I copy and paste it
it wants to make the block insertion point at the front left of the house.
If I XREF the drawing that the block came from it inserts correctly. Any
ideas what is happening? I did start a blank drawing inserting all entities,
then testing and it worked right. I assume there must be some variable that
is causing this.
