Traverse closure issues

Postby dw » Thu Jan 25, 2007 6:16 pm

We are still having bad traverses according to 2007. If we
process the traverse in 2006 it is fine. I'm not sure why 2007 is reducing
the traverse incorrectly, but what we are seeing is that 2007 reports that
there is a closing angle error anywhere from 110 to 120 degrees. When we
process it with 2006 there is only a 10 second error. I don't understand
what is going on.

Another question! Does Survcadd 2006 work on Autocad 2007?

Hello,

There is some settings under Process_Compute_Pts that ask you how to handle
Multiple Measurements to the Same Point. Its possible you have defined the
Points for your Closing Reference Angle in more than one place in the RW5
raw File.

If your settings in Survey 2007 are different than what you are using in
SurvCadd 2006 in the raw editor it can cause a difference if you have
defined more than one set of Northing and Easting values for a point number
used in the Angle Balance routine. For Example, if you have a PT Record at
the top of the Raw file to define the point and then you measure a Sideshot
to that same point number further down in the file.
