i am using a digitizer and the plans that i am trying to digitize are too big. does anyone know if there is a way to digitize the whole drawing

You can digitize multiple sheets as long as they have 2 common points you can click on the 1st before removing it and then on the 2nd to recalibrate to the new sheet.

ok do i use one of my original reference points and then create a new one or do i just make a whole new set of reference points?

Either way. If your reference points you used the first time can be found on the second sheet then its a little easier but not a necessity. If they cannot then simply make 2 new ones on your first page that you can find on the second before you remove the first from digitizer.
