Ok its a greast tool if all the points in your drawing are in your crd file. If not than I get an unhandled access violation and Auto CAD shuts down.
With a loss of all work until last save.
I am running CAD 2004. have you any experience with this issue? It has not occured with any other of my previous carlson software.
I feel it is just a setting that I need to change.

Thanks

I am unable to duplicate this problem. What is your build date of Carlson and what AutoCAD are you running it on? Does this happen with every drawing or only one?

point block - text nodes

build 031010 AutoCAD 2004

I didn't think you would have this problem or it would have been fixed some time ago. I am lucky it is on a laptop and used for field work. If it was in the office it wouldn't cut it. The nodes that get in the way are in the point block text. Can I place text without a node? The other text in the drawing dosn't attract the object snap as do the point blocks.
Upon further work with the point object snap. It only crashes if the crd file can't be found. If it is on the computer all is well.

And this would be the one I didn't finish! OK the oldest version of the software I have is the SurvCADD 2006 and I cannot duplicate it there either. Unfortunately there are no options that i can think of that would fix this other than running update CRD file from drawing to make sure all the points are in the CRD file. It was probably a bug in that version and was repaired in the next release. As far as the nodes on the text I believe that was something that was changed to work with or because of Autodesk.
