False Update

It looks like the time change over the weekend is prompting systems to install an upgrade that does not exist. The big concern is that if they don’t choose the right option in the dialog that opens, any user customization can be overwritten. They must choose “KEEP ALL USER FILES” in order to preserve customization. Do not use “Skip all user files” as this will still loose customization. Please pass this along. Thanks.

Is there a mailing list I can subscribe to for notifications of events like this?

I was caught completely off guard, and nearly all of my Carlson 2008 users had already seen and dealt with the update dialog before I was alerted to problems (around 10:30AM EST).

Even if one slects "KEEP ALL USER FILES", any custom CUIs must be reloaded, the dashboard reset, Toolpac hookup reestablished, express menu etc.

This seemed to be no different than selecting other options in the dialog (which as Rob mentioned, users had selected serveral different options before we were even aware of the false update).
