Line by angle-distance

I use the Line by angle-distance rotine under the COGO menu.

I have been using this for some time without any problems.

I am getting an error each time I finish entering the direction and distance.

i.e. it usually prompts for next segement etc.

The error reads as follows

bad argument type: stringp nil :error#0

Anybody able to shed light an rectifying this ???

Make sure the drawing inspector is not on. Drawing inspector could cause this.
