I have a hp designjet 430 monochrome plotter. I have noticed that the x and y offsets for setting the plot location on the paper have no effect on the position of the plot on the paper. Also the button that says print objects only in the selected window doesn't work, if there is a line or text just outside the windowed plot area selected, it also will be printed. I am getting quite a few memory errors, where is says the memory address was called but could not be read and it crashes the program.

What version of Carlson Software are you running? What Operating System are you running? Are you running the latest driver for the HP 430? Has this failure just started to occur or has this been the case since the installation of the plotter/Carlson program? Are there settings in the plotter drive that are conflicting with the programs settings?

Sorry, I just installed Carlson 2009 Survey w/Intellicad, XP pro, yes I have the latest drivers I believe. It worked fine in Survey 2007 Standalone. It just is in Intellicad that I have a problem. I have tried every combination of settings I can think of to get it to print it in the right place. If I use offsets (in the actual drawing) for the border of the plot I want, then use the center button after I select the window to the offsets, I can get it to print. But it would be nice if the print offsets in the print command worked.

1. Print Only area within specified window – works
a. (using Window – select Print Area)
i tested with text & lines outside of the area - didnt include entities.

2. select Origin button for X & Y or choose center on page
a. Yes, I also noticed no change in the Preview – could be bug

b. Another idea is to re-calibrate the plotter origin – which is found on the LCD screen of plotter.

3. Memory low – check the Advance Tab for Process document
a. In Printer
b. In Computer
(if the printer runs out of memory, select in Computer & print Again)

Another Resouce : send email to the Intellicad Consortium Support web site for further possible solutions.

The memory errors are not when I'm printing but when running other commands. I was printing from paper space when I had the problems with it printing outside the window, perhaps that is a difference? My HP430 does not have LCD screen?
