Moving nodes by grips

Postby BombthePeasants » Thu Nov 06, 2008 3:04 pm

I would like to know why sometimes I can grip a node, and move it, and the CRD file will update itself automatically, which is confirmed when I inverse to and from the node's new location. Other times, however, I can move the node, and it is NOT auto-updated.

Is there any way to associate the node descriptors with the actual node itself, so that I may only need to grip, for example, the elevation label, or the point number label, and have all of it move? And auto-update the coordinate file?

Thanks in advance for your responses!

In settings-configure-general settings there is an option for object linking and within it you will find link points to CRD file. Check this on and it will update CRD file when you move the point on screen. You have to have this on at the time you draw the points. If you want to move then update the file manually then use points-crd file utilities and update crd file from drawing.
