I want to change the symbol for a bunch of points,
under points, Edit Mult. Pt. Att., selection,
I pick symbol and select a new one, it doesn't change the points.
I can double click a point and change it there.
(i've reconfigured my symbol library and added new catagorys.)

In "Edit multiple point attributes" select your range and Description Match * ...

Then in the Edit Multiple Points dialog box, at the top, select "Symbol. Then next to the symbol preview area, toggle the Symbol toggle ON and select new point symbol. If this does not work, please let me know which version you are running and build. For this, go to Help>About Carlson and it will be the date in (XXXXXX).

for most of my drawings, edit multiple point doesn't work -used F2F to plot

in F2F, we added new catagorys to the symbol library to include the carlson point symbols w/o out copying the symbols to the support folder. (this also has caused minor bugs when changing a points symbol)

You can either copy the symbols to the support folder or add an additional support path to them via OPTIONS (type at command line) and go to the "Files" tab. From here, highlight "Support File Search Path" and click on the Add button. Let me know if theis helps or not. Thank you.

I've used '08 & '09 and it hasn't worked in either version. I usually end up re drawing the points or double click them on screen and change them.
