Problems going between Intellicad & Autocad

We are running Carlson 2009 on top of either Autocad 2008 or Intellicad (if Autocad licenses are all in use). We are having problems with the Intellicad making unwanted changes to the drawing files that show up when they are opened in Autocad. We have especially noticed this with paperspace viewports, which we use extensively. The other problem is with text changing so that it doesn't print properly. Even if we try to match properties in Autocad, the text that was created in Intellicad sometimes will not change & has to be recreated in Autocad. Has anyone else had similar problems & found workable solutions?

I have found the layout tabs don't convert directly but by re-selecting the printer and the page setup it solves my problem. With regard to the text problem I suspect you have to make sure there is copy of your font file in the Intellicad font folder. I have not encountered that as a significant problem to date.

As far as I know there is no way to get around the viewport issues as IntelliCAD does not support irregular viewports. You can work around this by only creating rectangular viewports in AutoCAD...

The font issues are most likely because IntelliCAD is converting those "unknown" AutoCAD .shx text files into IntelliCADs proprietary version i.e. - autocad's simplex.shx will be converted into ic-simplex.shx. I have had this problem as well... Simply copy over your text styles from AutoCAD into the correct IntelliCAD folder and you should be good to go. There is an article in the Knowledge base that addresses this issue if I remember correctly.
