You are used to "Flip Face" in LDD. In Carlson it is called "Swap Tin Edge". That's under the Triangulation Surface Manager pull down.
The real transition from LDD is a little involved. Most everything you can do in LDD can be done in Carlson. Some of it is easier to do. Some of it takes some digging. Their Field To Finish set up is POWERFUL and can give you tools that you have not seen before. Tools that will save a ton of time in the field and in the office. Saved time=maximized profits.
To be able to really make this package rock and roll it would pay your company to send you to one of the Carlson College affiliates or have them come to your area for a trainning seminar. I just attended one put on by Carlson Desktop Solutions. It was worth every penny. They can have you up and running after only a 2 day trainning session. Best $795 your company will ever spend.
This is one package that you can learn to use on your own, BUT you will not be really productive until you figure out all of the twists and turns. The manuals tell you WHAT is under all of the menus, but they are unclear on HOW to do everything. The days of sitting down with new software and figuring it all out are LONG gone. That does not work anymore. You need a class or someone that has the trainning and is willing to pass it on to you in depth.
See if this helps any:
