pline arc's

If you are using the pline command and tracing a shape and come to a tangent arc, pick arc then s for second point and select the midpoint of the arc, then the end of the arc and continue on, it does not draw the arc with the correct radius. I use this method for writing descriptions, however all my radius lengths are now wrong. If you use arc then pick radius pt and end of arc it draws it correctly.
To test this: draw 2 lines, fillet them with a radius (say 50'), then trace over it with a pline using line, arc, second pt(mid pt of arc), then to end of second line. Seems to draw it wrong every time.

I tried it in 2008 standalone, 2009 w/ acad and intellicad and our 2010 with Acad and can not get the same results you've got. Which version of software are you running and what is the build date? Thank you.

Are you certain that the original lines and curves are tangent with each other? even the the smallest amount of error could do this. Also, please be sure that the original lines/arcs are 2d and do not have any elevations. Let me know what you find. thank you.

I can use two newly drawn 2d lines at 0 elevation fillet them with a radius of 50 and then draw a pline over the top as outlined above and it will not be a tangent arc and the radius will be smaller than 50. I have reproduced this about 50 times, I am certain this happens on my machine in my drawing.

I just open a new drawing, drew 2 non parallel 2d lines, fillet them with a 50' radius. Then redrew a pline over them using S in the arc command and selecting the mid point then the end of the arc and the radius was off by more than 10'.

I do apologize, I see the error now, I waas using the command 'PL' instead of 2DP. I will send this to programming. thanks for the report. If you can forward me your contact info to
bharris@carlsonsw.com I can send you the fix if they get one out right away. Otherwise you may have to use the PL command until the next release. Thanks again.
