Three problems just killing me
Posted: Tue Nov 17, 2009 9:20 pmI have used the Carlson product all the way to the day it was actually an AutoCAD product (field survey). I do the love the software and have recently purchased a seat of Carlson survey 2010 with the intellicad engine. Installed it last week using the latest download. I am currently running a 3.0 GHz quad with a 528MB graphics card and Vista 32 bit. My mouse is a wireless microsoft laser mouse 5000 with the intellipoint software installed.
Problem one-Mouse wheel Zoom doesn't operate with initial settings
Problem two-Mouse wheel button pan doesn't operate
Tried switching the mbuttonpan settings-Didn't work
Tried a traditional mouse-didn't work
Removed drivers for wireless and used traditional mouse-Still didn't work
Changed vista to run program as administrator-didn't work
Kept administrator and ran program as xp compatible-Zoom worked, but very jumpy. Pan still didn't work
Kept administrator and tried windows 2000 compatible-Both worked, but very jump...zoom came in and out very fast and little wheel movement. Pan worked after I held down button for a few seconds.
So last night power went out and I had to restart computer this morning....problems have come back with settings that kind of worked yesterday.
So I did get the functions to operate yesterday...but not in an acceptable fashion. At the moment...they work sometimes bad, but more often nothing happens at all.
Problem three-Working in drawings and Esnaps shows on...but can't use snaps. If I try to manual draw a line between two points in the crd file,,,I get message error about points not being there. So I can't pick nodes or manually enter point numbers to get a line. This problem carries over to just plain line work....I can't snap to the ends, etc....it is like the esnap is totally gone though all the snap settings seem to be correct. To make it even weirder...I can inverse between points...just no line work. At first this happened with new drawings that I started using a setup template made in Carlson 2006. Today I am having the problem with a drawing that didn't use that template.
