When I run field to finish the points are ending up in the layers that I want them in but the point number, description, and elevation end up in different layers. What do I need to do to get them in the same layer as the point they are associated with?

The general default for the points is the PNTS,PNTNO, etc. layers. The closest that you can come to what you want to do is set the groups in F2F and the use the Point Group Manager to bring in the points to your layers by the groups.
