Bearing Annotatation

i am putting bearings on a curve
i am getting 8 digits instead of the normal 6

ex. N 40 47 53 23 W this should be N 40 47 53 W

new to autocad/carlson so i cant find the settings to make a chance to this

thanks for the reply but I have it set to deg,min,sec so that is correct but it still is showing 8 numbers S 69 19'12.94" E the problem being the seconds need to be 2 digits not 12.94 but just 12

On my machine, (Win 7, Map 2011, Carlson 2011) when you choose Deg,Min,Sec under Bearing Annotation Precision, the precision pulldown is greyed out, and is set at 0.01 seconds. It appears that there is no way to change it on this screen.

SETTINGS > UNITS CONTROL > UNDER ANGLE TYPE > SURVEYOR'S UNITS, PRECISION N00D00'00".
Pardon me for shouting. This is where you set the overall units at, but some features, such as Enter Deed Description, are handled internally.

yes i tried that too- thanks all but i found the settings to use
annotate/annotate arc/label arc and before you select anything, at the command line, type O (for Options) and hit Enter set the Angle to '0"
