PDD command leaves an odd point

Hi,

When using the command PDD, a point is created when selecting a start point to begin the command. It's green, but I'm not sure if that's because of my personal settings or not. It can't be selected unless I use Ctrl+A, does not move with the deed boundaries once drawn, and does not appear in the list of points for the drawing.

My question is - how do I stop the point from being created?

I have attached a screenshot with the points in question circled in red. Thank you in advance.
