Civil 3D 2008 and Carlson Connect

Postby roberts2 » Wed Oct 24, 2007 4:28 am

Anyone else getting this error with Carlson Connect, Civil3D 2008 and CG Field Plus when trying to upload coordinates: "COM error: Another Autocad running on system or no project assigned to current drawing are possible causes"? It gets all the way to REC PT: then just sits there until I get the error. If the file exists on the DC it even asks if I want to overright points, but the points don't get there.

I can download raw files just fine. Any thoughts?

Robert,

i found out the hard way... if i didnt create a project name, i recieved the same error "COM Error: Another Autocad running on System or Project assign to...." So, until, i decided to assign a project a name - i got fatal error during transfer & crashed the program.

I ran it again this time with aProject choosing a C&G CRD file down loading & uploading & works fine now.

if you need further assistance or recieve different errors, call me at

I went ahead and installed Vault (didn't think I'd need it) with a local server, then created a project. After that I was able to up and download fine.

Thank You!

Well that worked for a while, but now I'm getting the following:

Runtime error
Program C...
R6025 Pure Virtual Function Call

Seems to happen when I have more than ... maybe 250 points.

Other times I get a transfer error on the DC.

And still other times, if I have some points with el's and some with the el blank, it only transfers the points with the blank el's??? But the first error is the one I get most. It just locks up autocad when I hit the button accepting the point numbers to transfer. Any help would be great.
Thank you.
