Proof once again

Postby Dave H. » Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:43 am

Most resellers of CAD software here in Florida seem to lose interest and
lose your contact information as soon as you mention Carlson. Doug
Kavanaugh with ASTI in Florida sent me an email first as I didn't email
him and never heard of his company before, but this nice guy found my name
on an email list or something and offered to assist me with any CAD
purchases I should need. Just out of curiosity I replied to his email and
asked what the cost of the upgrade would be from Carlson Survey 2006 to
2007 (stand-alone ver.).
That was last week and still no reply but I'm sure he's getting right on
it don't you? That's the third reseller since I first tried to make a
purchase that seems to want nothing to do with selling a Carlson license
or it's the lowest priority they have. I'm still waiting for calls back
from the other two dealers that I talked to in June of 2006.

What a joke.

Update, Still no phone call or email reply from the very considerate and
helpful reseller, ASTI in Florida, via Doug Kavanaugh. However a very
considerate reseller in Israel, Tomer-Civil Engineering Services and
Surveying was courteous enough to send me the information within an hour
of my original posting. I guess if the previous resellers never called
back since June that means ASTI from last week won't be calling back
either.

But many thanks to Ran with Tomer-Civil Engineering Services and Surveying
for helping me out since Carlson's Florida resellers always refuse to.

Ran has been responsive to me as well, here and in e-mail. I'll ask
him if he wants to do my next upgrade or purchase ... not sure about
the regional rules or whatever.

Good Morning Rich

I was thinking the exact same thing myself once they get all the bugs
worked out. Having point leader capability itself alone is worth the
upgrade.
