Cannot select 3d polylines

I am currently converting 2d polylines to 3d. My drawing suddenly won't let
me select 3d polylines. It doesn't matter what layer they're on. Any
ideas?

No it does not matter what layer the 3d polylines are on. I use to get that
problem all the time when i had CES. Since my office upgraded to XML i have
not seen that happen. If i remember right there is a way to keep that from
happening but right off hand i don't remember what it is.
