I'm doing some research to figure this out as well... hence I found this
thread to respond with.
I'm using the latest SurvCADD 2006 with Map 2D 2006.
I have converted two DEM's to XYZ files and attempt to bring them in.
Normally I set the protect points box but this tries to number the
points but gets into a bit of a quagmire that route. So I un-check the
protect points and allows me to import. I get confirmation that 153,180
and 153,167 point sets have been imported. Problem is when I draw the
points... only 99,999 are drawn. To deleting them from the CRD file and
it says 99999 points erased.
