Blocks with attributes

Is it possible to insert a symbol (block) with attributes, I have added
several blocks to the survcadd library with attributes and I receive an
error when I try to insert one.

I am running SurvCADD CES and AutoCAD 2000.

If using the "Insert Symbols" command, set ATTREQ to 0 first.
-or-
use the standard INSERT command.

AFAIK, there is no way to use blocks with attributes as point symbols since the routines that insert points are not coded to handle attributes.
