Multiple Monitors

Postby James Shaw » Tue Jun 15, 2004 7:58 pm

This is a simple issue, but an answer or a future upgrade would make life
more enjoyable for me. I use dual-displays on my workstation. When using
SurvCADD the dialog boxes and selection boxes always insist on appearing
centered on my primary monitor. Is there a hidden switch or something I
could do to force SurvCADD to remember the last location of the dialog so I
do not have to move it everytime I use it?

Thanks in advance.

There is no hidden switches to the best of my knowledge. Each dialog
would need code at the startup/closing to recall/save the position.
Ideally the code would also have to check the recalled position to make
sure its within bounds of the 'current' display as people can on
*occassion* go from 2 monitors back to 1, or hires down to a lower one.
Otherwise people would have dialogs disappearing and the application
would appear to lock up.

Or a master reset command with a confirmation that would reset all
dialogs back to center would be better.

Still a very good idea.
