Point Placement on Profile

Postby Ray » Fri Mar 25, 2005 1:43 am

I would to keep this problem from happening whenever I try to use the Point
Placement of Profile tool of the Profiles menu:

"Enter station or pick a point (Enter to End): _endp of Unknown command "STA
16+13.2400". Press F1 for help.
Unknown command "ELEV 70.0538". Press F1 for help".

The point on the profile is labeled as:

x 90.00000000000
90.00000000000

I am hoping to be able to label the station and elevation of the point "x"
on the profile.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Ray

Ray, have a look at the Horizontal Axis Elevations command or the
Station-Elev-Slope Report command. Each will label the station and
elevation of selected or specified points on the profile. The latter will
be more likely to suit your needs. Hope this helps.

Barkley,
Below is a copy of the command line when I tried using the Point Placement
on Profile command.

Command: ptpro

Place points from .CRD file or pick points [File/<Points>]?

Pick Lower Left Grid Corner <7575.77,846.48>[endp on]: '_pan
Press ESC or ENTER to exit, or right-click to display shortcut menu.

Pick Lower Left Grid Corner <7575.77,846.48>[endp on]:
Enter station or pick a point (Enter to End): '_pan
Press ESC or ENTER to exit, or right-click to display shortcut menu.

Enter station or pick a point (Enter to End): _int of Unknown command "STA
16+77.42". Press F1 for help.
Unknown command "ELEV 70.37". Press F1 for help.

Instead of getting a station and elevation label I get a pair of
90.0000000000000

I am wondering if it has anything to do with the drawing not being linked to
a CRD, it reads [CRD: NONE].

Thanks for your help.

Check your current text style, make sure the fixed height is set to 0.0

Thanks guys

The problem was the text style height, it wasn't set to 0.0.
