UNITS CONTROL - INSERTION SCALE

Postby Joe Bishop » Tue Aug 16, 2005 9:03 pm

Hello everyone:

When I try to insert a block into a drawing (ex. manhole, tree,
certification legend) they are coming out to small. So I go into INQ-SET
and go to "units control" and then down to "insertion scale", I am on feet.
I want it to be on unitless. I can change it and its ok for that particular
drawing, but not for any others.

I thought I could make it "unitless" as a default in "preferences" and then
under "user preferences", but when I make them "unitless", it still keeps it
at feet in my others drawings.

Hope someone can help me.

thanks in advance.

Joe,

From what I have learned so far, it appears that the insertion unit setting
is "drawing specifc" in AutoCAD 2006. For now, the best solution is to open
your template drawing and set the insertion units there. Let me know if you
have any problems with this.
