Plotting Control for Draw Profile

Postby Col Cadman » Wed Jun 01, 2005 10:33 am

Is there a way of controlling the information on the Draw Profile so don't
have the partial information on the screen but still show my design
information. I would like to have a title box which had Chainage(station),
Natural Surface(ground), Design(final).I would still like the option to add
cut fill.

Another useful addition would the ability to round to the nearest
..005.(metric user)

Col,

It sounds like you are looking for "Profile Report", which is included in
Carlson Roads. It generates everything you are asking for, including
cut/fill and elevation precision. If you are doing a lot of profile and
roading work, you may want to consider adding Roads to your Survey package.

I have a Civilcad for more serious road design. The Draw profile option is
an all or nothing type option. When I plot the profile I get rows of cut,
fil, partials etc., The only way I can see to turn them off is not to select
Design Box. Or I have to erase the unwanted rows from the screen and adjust
my rows of information. I would also like to change the Leader names such as
"Station" to "Chainage". These do not seem to be complex options which
require the full roads software.

Lon,
I agree with Col, we want to customise the rows of data plotted on the
sections, and repeatedly erasing rows of data isn't efficient. We look
forward to seeing something change (via the wishlist).
Thanks...Stephen
