New Carlson Upgrade

Postby Joe Bishop » Fri Jun 23, 2006 3:29 pm

Has anyone received the new Carlson Civil yet? We got our renewal agreement
and I was just wondering if everyone is upgrading and what are your
thoughts. Times are very tough right now and I want to make sure I really,
really need to do this before I do. Thanks in advance.

I have upgraded to 2007 and was impressed.

The new Road Network feature allows you to select several roads, choose
the road template to create the contours. In the past, I would have to
edit the intersections manually. This does it all at once.

If you do a lot of road design, the Road Network itself was worth it.

We are strictly a land surveying firm. We do not do design work, unless its
for a new home and its doing a site plan. But as far as road design,
utility design, etc., we stay away from that aspect.
