Linetypes

Postby Joe Bishop » Wed Jan 24, 2007 9:46 pm

Hi all:

I am looking to create very simple lines but am having problems doing it. I
have tried to follow the directions from the acad help, but its not working.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. The lines I am looking to
create are the following:

Existing Watermain: W--W--W--W--
Existing Sanitary sewer: SS---SS---SS---
Existing Storm Sewer: ST-ST-ST-ST
Gas Line: G---G---G---G---
Fence Line: ----x----x----x----x----x

Those are approximate, but something like those. Then I can make those
linetypes the default lines for those specific layers. It is probably very
simple and there is probably one minor thing I am not doing. Thank you in
advance.

Yes, I realize I could do it that way. But I would rather just have the
line be drawn that way as I draw it. It saves a step.

Define the Survcadd linetype in your drawing or template, then set the
layer linetype to the special linetype. Then the linetype will appear
as you draw it. Just be aware that anything else on that layer will
also inherit that linetype.
