.dat files

Can you import .dat files into Survcad and if so how? Cant seem to figure
this one out.

What is an example of the contents of the .dat file? (.dat is not a
standardized file extension, the contents could be ANYTHING). If it is an
ascii coordinate file, it can imported using Import Text/ASCII File from the
Points menu (or command line: readpt)
