Trimble TSC2 Running TDS transfer problem

We have Trimble TSC-2 Data collectors running TDS and I can't seem to get
a "handshake". I have read the manual with no results. The settings on
both the collector and PC are correct. I am in a small remote village in
Alaska and my resources are limited to say the least.

This transfer should work if all com settings are set correctly. Have you tryed the transfer using Microsoft Activesync? This is a free transfer utility from Microsoft.
