AEC-Contour Labels

Postby Harley Pawley » Wed Jul 13, 2005 2:03 am

I browsed the history and didn't see an anser to this:

I have drawings created by AutoCAD 14 / Softdesk 8 with AEC-Contours labeled
with foot to nearest foot. When I open the drawings with Carlson Survey
2004, the labels change to nearest 0.01'.

Is there any way to remedy this? I could not explode them at all to fix the
text...

Thanks!

I am not sure what is going on here. I guess i would check the units
setting in Survey and make sure it is set to 0 decimal places. If this
doesn't do the trick I would probably need to take a look at the drawing
to see if we could come up with something.

Barkley,
Here is the history after opening a Softdesk drawing:

Loading AecBase40...
Loading AecCivilBase...Error code (0x2) The system cannot find the file
specified.

AcRxDynamicLinker failed to load 'AecUiBase40STAR2004.arx'
C:\Program Files\Carlson Software 2004\STAR.exe
Opening a Release 14/LT 97/LT 98 format file.
Regenerating layout.
Regenerating model.

It happens with any drawing with contours. I open the drawings in V14 and
check the units, etc. It is normal settings - Decimal, 2-place precision
normal and 0-place precision on contour labels. When I open it in Carlson
2004, the units are set to Architectual. I then set them to Decimal 0-place
with no change to the contour labels with a regen.

RE: the object enablers, I downloaded and installed the file from your
website, but it still looks like something fails according to the history
above. I bet that could be it.

Thanks for the help!

Harley

I downloaded and installed the latest LDT2004Object Enabler, but I am still
getting the same error message upon opening drawings and the contour labels
still to the 0.01'.

Any suggestions?

Harley,
Send us a copy of the drawing and we'll see if we can duplicate the
problem.

Is there an AecCivilCogo object enabler in existence or is Carlson looking
for the wrong thing?

Here's my opening dialog:

I am having the same problem. Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but was this
problem ever resolved? How did you fix it?
