The problem appears to be with the .cfg file that I saved after setting all
my defaults in the Configuration routine. On all the workstations that I
installed on (except one) the solution was to install, configure everything,
uninstall, and re-install. Somehow that would "fix" itself and the problem
has gone away.
So, if you install on multiple workstations, it is hard to tell if time is
really saved using the new config file capability. However, the uninstall
and the reinstalls definately take less time to perform than the initial
install.
I hope this saves someone a lot of time. Carlson knows of the problem and
is working on it.

I have now installed the new Survey 2006 on 2 computers and am having a
problem. I have had to un-install and re-install on both, but it now
seems
to be a re-occurring problem.
I know I have a problem when I go into Layer Manager and select a color to
change - the program then locks up and throws me out.
We are running Windows NT2000. Yes, I have admin rights. We also have
AutoCAD 14 w/ Softdesk 8 installed and it is imperative that we can run
both
on the same computers. I did not have a problem running 2004 with the old
stuff.
Is anyone else having this problem?
