Elevation Placement

I want my elevations to come in with the decimal point of the elevation to be at the actual place the shot was taken in the field. What's the best and easiest way to do this? Thanks...

Best I could find for doing this would be to edit an attribute drawing and move the insertion point for the elevation to the decimal place. I have not tested this so try at your own risk.
