Help files

Postby clint » Sat Mar 28, 2009 9:16 pm

Hi,

I am running the 2009 standalone, and my help buttons aren't working. The csurv.chm and help1.xrf files are in the EXEC dircetory. I was also trying to look at the Survnet tutorial and none of the Carlson supplied example files would work. Everything seems to say not found. My software was activated from the demo mode. Should I just save my dwg's and reload 09 using the CD? This is very frustrating!

Clint,
Not sure why this doesn't work, it worked for me as per Nava in previous post.
fwiw, the */EXEC directory is not in my search path in preferences>files.
Probably wouldn't hurt to add it, but may not help any either.

Yeah, it's strange. I can use explorer and goto the help file and open it, but it won't work from the help menu on the drawing screen. Makes me think the I need to just reload the whole thing. I am going to call Carlson tomorrow. I really need to get Survnet figured out. I have a network I'd like to adjust, but I will probably just Compass it to get the job out. I can't get it to read my Raw data. Have you had success with SurvNet, Terry?

Thanks for your replies.

Clint,
No, I haven't done much with SurvNet, but there is an upgrade for it somewhere in the knowledge base on the Carlson website, might want to try that. I did download and install the upgrade, but did not try the tutorials. The help files don't appear to work for SurvNet yet.
