LINE TABLE NOT WORKING 2009 W/EMBEDDED ACAD

Postby tstrickland » Fri Jun 12, 2009 1:42 pm

I get this message when creating a line table (curve table doesn't work, either):
Starting point of line table <(-2.79219e-015 -15.2)>:
"lntitle1.dwg": Can't find file in search path:
C:\ (current directory)
C:\Acadjobs\2009\090505\
C:\Documents and Settings\TERRY\Application Data\Carlson Software\Carlson
Software 2009\R2009\enu\support\
C:\Program Files\Carlson Software 2009\support\

C:\Program Files\Carlson Software 2009\help\
C:\Program Files\Carlson Software 2009\drv\
C:\Program Files\Carlson Software 2009\
*Invalid*

Only way it will work is auto annotate.
Anybody else?
Any suggestions?
The block name is "lntable1.dwg" used in auto annotate.
Could I copy and rename the block to "lntitle1.dwg" in the SupTemplate directory and make it work?
thanks.

Copying the "lntable1.dwg" to "lntitle1.dwg" did not work for the line table, and copying "cntable.dwg" to "cntitle1.dwg" did not work for the curve table, either.
A work around is to auto annotate with the curve table, and once the block is defined within the drawing, delete the curve element, but there must be a better way?

Well, even that doesn't work. The delete table elements lisp routine doesn't work, either.

THE FIX
Got this suggestion from tech support, it worked.
Change some of the settings in the line/curve table, redefining the block.
It now works correctly. :-)
Delete table elements still does not work, however. :-(

I have been having a similar problem with Point Table. I could not get it to plot a group of points. The routine would enable me to select a point for the TL corner. It then would drop out and create a point at 0,0 each time. I finally got a table by selecting the points 1-10 and leaving all the default settings. Having got a table I then went back to edit the table, which worked. The problem was when I went to make a second amendment the routine defaulted back to select the full range of points in the crd file, which I had not expected. It is now trying to plot 1100 points in the schedule. It would also be nice if you could sort the point list by description.
