View Menu

Postby Mongoeric » Sat Aug 08, 2009 10:46 am

I am a new user and need a little (ha!) help.

I'm running through the tutorials in the help section. Lesson 2 "Making a Plat" instructs you to LAYER CONTROL the VIEW menu. I can't see the VIEW menu, nor the LAYER CONTROL in another menu. I am in the surveying module but there is not VIEW menu in any of the modules.

What's the deal?

I am running Carlson 2009 with Intellicad 6.5.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

The VIEW menu is one of the pull-down options along the top of the program. Or you could type EXPLAYERS at the command line.

What I'm trying to say is that VIEW is not one of my menu choices. They are:

File, Edit, Draw, Inquiry, Settings, Points, Survey, COGO, Centerline, Area/Layout, Annotate, Surface, GIS, Window, Help.

I am in Carlson Survey 2009.

View should be one of the menu items, shouldn't it?

Thanks for the help.

let's try this...

Go to OPTIONS (type at commandline) and select the Profiles tab along the top. Highlight the "Unnamed Profile" (or "Default" if using Icad) and hit the Set Current button. Then highlight the Carlson profile and delete it. Restart the software from the icon on the desktop and you should be good to go. Let me know if you have any further questions. Thank you.

bharris, you are the man.

This cleared up about half a dozen other questions I had, thanks.

One more though. On the Deeds Tutorial 1, step 8 says to go to menu item DRAW, TEXT, DYNAMIC. I don't have DYNAMIC as one of my choices. What's up.

Thanks.

I believe this is called "Standard" in your version.
