Mtext alignment

Postby BSS » Thu Oct 06, 2005 7:32 pm

Just wondering about creating Mtext when a drawing has been twisted.
It is possible to create single line text oriented horizontally to the
screen just by setting ortho to "on", however the same trick does not work
with Mtext.
When ortho is active the Mtext is still generated horizontal to the x-axis
of the UCS, not the screen. Seems odd to have the discrepancy, maybe I have
missed a setting?

Jay,

When you first enter the command click where you want the first corner,
then the options Height/Justyify/Line spacing/Rotation/Style/Width are
displayed in the command line, type in "R" then press enter, at this time
you can turn your ortho on (F8) and set the rotation of your text. I am
using 2004, but I would image the mtext command wouldn't change between
2004 and 2006. Hope this helps.

Wes
