Daylight Savings Time bites again

Postby Erich Schmitt » Mon Mar 15, 2010 7:18 pm

We are running Carlson Survey 2008 on 3 XP workstations. Twice a year, when daylight savings time comes and goes we lose all of our custom buttons we have created. Happens every time. Any idea's?

It also resets data paths and many of your custom settings. All of the sudden our computers were looking for the old 2007 package, which has been removed.Man, that's a link that needs to be broken.

I thought I was going crazy this morning. My points were linked again and my startup options were fubar. Now.. why is this happening?

For 2010 users:

Any files replaced by this mechanism are now backed up. Please go to c:\documents and settings\username\Application Data\Carlson Software\Carlson2010_XXXX. In this folder there are two subfolders, USER and SUP. Each of them does have a backup folder containing displaced files. Check SUP\backup for menu files (CUIX for 2010). If your recent file is there, please move it back to SUP folder.

Erich - are you using the 2008 Standalone? If so, what is your build date?
